AOT Liberty Freedom Farm
AOT Liberty Freedom Farm is a 1.47-acre community farm in Greene, Chenango County, New York, stewarded by America On Trial Inc. (AOT). More than a place to grow food, the farm is a place where people reconnect—with the land, with one another, and with the belief that every community deserves the opportunity to thrive.
We created this farm because we believe food, land, and dignity should never be privileges. They are essential to healthy communities. Our work responds to the realities of hunger, poverty, mass incarceration, and unequal access to land by creating opportunities for people to learn, grow, heal, and build something lasting together.
Through regenerative farming, paid fellowships, hands-on education, and community partnerships, we're creating a space where people can gain practical skills, care for the land, strengthen local food systems, and invest in their own futures.
We believe communities most affected by incarceration already hold the knowledge, resilience, and leadership needed to create change. Our role is to help create the space and opportunities for that leadership to grow.
Rooted in Justice
Food insecurity, poverty, environmental challenges, and mass incarceration don't exist in isolation—they affect one another and often impact the same communities.
At AOT Liberty Freedom Farm, we believe stronger communities are built by investing in people before they reach a crisis and by supporting them long after that crisis has passed. That means creating opportunities for people to reconnect with the land, develop new skills, earn meaningful income, and become leaders in their own communities.
Justice isn't only about changing systems. It's also about making sure people have what they need to build healthy, stable, and fulfilling lives.
Honoring the Land
Our farm is located on the ancestral homelands of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy—the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora Nations.
We honor the original stewards of this land and recognize their enduring relationship with these ecosystems. As we care for this land today, we do so with gratitude, humility, and respect, knowing that caring for the earth also means honoring those who have cared for it for generations.

AOT Liberty Freedom Farm is both a working farm and a place for learning, gathering, and building community.

We believe the land has the power to bring people together, restore confidence, and remind us that growth is always possible.
