America On Trial Inc. (AOT) humbly and powerfully introduces AOT Liberty Freedom Farm — a 1.047-acre land-based sanctuary located on ancestral lands in what is now known as the Village of Greene, NY (Chenango County). This land holds the quiet strength of resistance and the deep promise of collective renewal.
AOT Liberty Freedom Farm exists as more than a farm — it is a sacred site of returning, where system-impacted individuals and communities reclaim connection to land, dignity, and self-determination. Rooted in ancestral wisdom and the traditions of survival, care, and community-led liberation, the farm serves as a living space for food sovereignty, economic justice, reentry, healing, and cultural transformation.
It is a place where we practice re-membrance and resistance through soil, ceremony, and solidarity — a home for practical liberation and redefining of what freedom truly means.
Honoring the Land & Its Original Stewards
Located on the ancestral homelands of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy — the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora Nations — we honor the original caretakers of this land.
We recognize that the fight for food justice is inseparable from Indigenous sovereignty and land back movements.

Reclaiming Land for Liberation:
We see the farm as a sanctuary — a place where people impacted by the criminal legal system can reconnect with the earth, ancestral wisdom, and their own power. It’s about reclaiming what was taken: land, dignity, and the right to grow our own futures.
Resisting Carceral Agriculture:
We reject exploitative prison labor and resist the ways agriculture has been used to control, punish, and marginalize. We stand against all systems that devalue human life and commodify care.
Healing Through the Soil:
Our farm is a trauma-informed, healing-centered space. Working with the land becomes a form of therapy, restoration, and community building — especially for those navigating reentry.
Centering Community and Culture:
We grow culturally rooted foods, herbs, and medicines. Our work is led by the wisdom of directly impacted people and guided by values of collective care, interdependence, and justice.

Our work is rooted in sustainability, mutual aid, and radical love. Every harvest is a collective act of resistance and renewal, led by and for system-impacted people reclaiming power, healing, and nourishment through their connection to the land.
